Description

Utilizing Rice Husks for Sustainable Energy Generation The project is focused on generating energy from rice husks, a renewable resource available in the region. Two cogeneration plants, with capacities of 1.0 MW and 0.6 MW each, were built in Bahadurgarh, Patiala and Mugalpur, Moradabad respectively. The project falls under Sectoral Scope 1: Energy industries as defined by the CDM Executive Board. Key Highlights: - Utilization of rice husks for steam and electricity generation for captive consumption - Two cogeneration plants with a combined capacity of 1.6 MW - Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by avoiding the use of non-renewable sources of energy Generating energy from rice husks offers a sustainable alternative to non-renewable sources of energy. By utilizing this renewable resource, the project is able to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The two cogeneration plants have a combined capacity of 1.6 MW, providing a significant source of energy to the region.
