Description

The Neria Mini Hydel Power Project is a sustainable energy project in Dhakshina kannada district of Karnataka State, India. Developed by Bhoruka Power Corporation Limited, this mini hydroelectric project generates 9 MW (2x4.5 MW) of clean energy. The project is a Run-off the river scheme on Neria river, a west flowing river. Key Highlights: - A diversion weir was constructed across the river to divert the stream to a power canal upto forebay cum intake structure. - Individual steel penstock was used to convey water to each hydro generating unit. - An open tail race channel was implemented to release water back into the river. - The project generates 9 MW of clean energy, reducing carbon emissions and contributing to a sustainable future.
